- 报告人简介
Dr. Jeevan Kafle received his PhD from the School of Science, Kathmandu University, Nepal, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shiva P. Pudasaini. He an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Dr. Kafle is one of the founding members of the Kathmandu Institute of Complex Flows, a pioneering institute focused on mass flow research in Nepal. He has published extensively with his research interests primarily in modeling and computation of two-phase landslides and tsunami generation.
Dr. Kafle will explore potential implications of novel laboratory granular mixture flows for fragmentation and particle sorting dynamics. Moreover, Dr. Kafle discusses a novel universal non-linear dispersive wave equation for landslide motion that unifies flow depth and velocity into a single equation and its potential use in mass emplacements. Finally, he presents some numerical simulations on mixture mass transport and interaction with structures with potential applications to engineering problems.
